The term cellulite used in front of a woman often results in a response along the lines of disgust and dismay, as the appearance can be unsightly; predominantly accumulating in areas below the waist. Do not be fooled into thinking that this is a condition purely confined to women who are overweight because most carry additional fat anyway; even sporting women who do not carry much additional fat can have this condition.
The fats just below the skin surface push against the tissue which results in the skin surface having that dimpled look common of cellulite. The real cause of is unknown so is the reasons why some women are more prone to suffering with it than others but scientists believe that it could be due to the way the cells are structured beneath the skin of each individual.
One thing is for certain though ad that is this problem increases with age which is partly due to the reduction of collagen and elastin in the system which is why we tend to have more lines as we get older. Whilst many would disagree, this condition is often referred to a hormone imbalance problem as men almost never have this happen to them.
It is not uncommon to only see the cellulite when the skin is pinched between the fingers at which pint it can normally be felt as well but it is a very common complaint amongst women. Many factors can influence the buildup; ranging from the sex of the person to their age, genetic make-up, skin type and skin thickness, all have a part to play in its formation.
Currently there isn’t one single treatment that can rid a person of this condition because the cause has remained elusive despite considerable research into the area. One method that hides the cellulite quite well by puffing the skin is deep massage and an increasing number of clinics are now offering this therapy.
Other treatments involve liposuction (to remove fats) and mesotherapy (injection of drugs into the affected areas) which is expensive and out of reach of the majority of women. These known remedies offer only temporary relief and are likewise not advisable as liposuction for example should only be used to remove deep fats and is not very effective in the removal of cellulite.
A number of cosmetic manufacturers claim their creams are an effective method of removing the fat cells but it would seem these are just a method of masking the condition making it less visible and so far no definitive treatment exists. So far the best method is back to basics combining a healthy diet with exercise that gradually burns off the fat but not the connective tissue where it is found.
In addition, increasing the intake of water will help cleanse the system and flush out damaging toxins plus smokers should stop smoking or at least reduce it which will also be beneficial as smoking impacts negatively on the capillaries in the skin and reducing stress will help reduce the amount of cellulite.

Some people are more fortunate than others when it comes to how good their skin looks but how they achieve this is not a secret; skin care does not come easily to everyone but some basic techniques carried out regularly, should make a big difference. Although it still happens in the West, women are beginning to learn that beautiful skin does not come at the end of a knife but with other more natural methods. Beauty care products however, are formulated to work more naturally with the skin and are within almost everyone’s budget with other health advantages as part of the package.
It is no longer fair to just consider beauty care products as those used be the elderly like anti-aging products. The number of products available is huge and continues to grow; all designed to improve the health and beauty of the skin. With all the hard work our skin has to put up with, the least we can do is look after it.
Part one in your daily skin care regime is to use a cleansing agent to remove all the pollutions like smoke, dust and make-up that our skin has to put up with on a daily basis. To do this requires a gentle cleanser which must be used with cotton wool pads moving the wetted pads in a circular motion around the face until all areas have been done then once you have washed with warm water, use a soft towel to dab your skin until it is dry.
To ensure your PH balance is not disrupted, you will need to use a tone after the cleanser has been applied. Whilst the tone replaces the PH balance, moisturizing afterwards ensures the skin stays supple and can help reduce the signs of aging that come in the form of small wrinkles and lines. Beauty care products that moisturize the skin also form a barrier to lock in the moisture so the skin does not dry out.
Once or twice weekly you should treat your skin with an exfoliant or natural peel to remove dead skin cells and to deep cleanse your skin as part of you skin care routine. You must not forget however, that when you carry out this exfoliation you make sure that you continue with a complete cleanse and tone afterwards.
Eye creams are used to help maintain the delicate tissue surrounding your eye, these are specially formulated beauty care products that reduce the appearance of puffiness, dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles or to help improve elasticity and firmness. Taking some form of daily exercise and drinking plenty of water are two things you don’t need to spend a fortune on but will really improve the skin tone and feel. It is not a good idea to forget the important role our skin plays in our overall health and of course how we look so taking care of it is not just about vanity.
